Application of Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose in Textile, Printing and Dyeing Industry
Application of Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose in Textile, Printing and Dyeing Industry
For warp yarns sizing
(1) Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry is clear, transparent and uniform with good stability. Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry is stored in slurry tank, little influenced by climate and bacteria, can use anytime according to production demand.
(2) Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry is rich in viscosity and film formation, can form smooth, wearable and flexible film on surface of warp yarns, make yarns bear absolute strength, relative activity and friction of weaving machine. It provides advantages for weaving finer senior fabrics, high speed and high efficiency.
(3) The yarns treated by Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry is easily dried, bright color and soft feel. Desizing is very convenient, it not only consumes desizing agents, but consumes fuel.
(4) The yarns and fabrics treated by Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry will not be yellow and moldy, can reduce or eliminate spots and oil cloth areas at a large scale, also can prevent infestation and rat bite.
(5) Making Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry is easily operated, and workshop sanitation condition can be improved accordingly.
Using steps of Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose on warp sizing are as follows: Firstly modulate Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose to 1% to 3% water solution in slurry tank with blender, then inject the solution into tank of sizing machine by pump, and can be used for sizing after heating.
2. For printing paste
In the printing paste of synthetic fiber fabrics, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose is both thickener and emulsifier. It can mix evenly dyeing, high boiling point solvent and water. Usually using 1% CMC solution can stabilize dyeing suspension, prevent settlement and forming foam during storage. To add Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose in printing paste has some advantages:
(1) Improve the stability of paste, significantly improve brightness of printings.
(2) Good permeability. The permeability of Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose slurry is better than starch paste. It has soft feel after dyeing.
(3) Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose can form protective film and improve zigzag resistant rate of fabrics.
(4) Strong stickiness. After drying and finishing, heating in proper stage, and can form waxy luster fabrics with insoluble coating surface.
